2) Barco: Three-chip DLP projector with WUXGA resolution
Barco
announced the launch of the RLM-W6. The RLM-W6 is a three-chip DLP projector
with a WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution. With an extremely low noise level of
32dB, a power consumption 33% lower than comparable systems and a 6,000
lumens light output, it is a green, ergonomic and cost-conscious choice for
boardrooms, lobbies and auditoriums. Barco's RLM-W6 premieres the superior
color saturation and image stability of three-chip DLP technology in
applications hitherto mostly reserved for single-chip DLP systems. The
RLM-W6's WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution gives it the versatility to display a
wide array of sources. ISE: booth 11j28 More: http://www.barco.com |

3) projectiondesign: WQXGA resolution projector at ISE
Pride of
place on the projectiondesign booth will be the new F35 wqxga, the first
projector to feature Texas Instruments’ WQXGA DLP chip. This offers a
resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, that’s 78% more pixels than WUXGA. The
result is a display of incredibly high pixel density that requires fewer
projectors to produce ultra-realistic images. Also at a European tradeshow
for the first time is the MIPS WB2560 – projectiondesign’s first multi-image
processor. Capable of providing geometry correction on a per-pixel basis for
perfect image performance, the MIPS WB2560 is infinitely scalable, allowing any
number of channels to be combined to a single image, without limitations. The
MIPS processing engine is totally transparent to the image generator, and
operates at near zero latency making it ideal for applications from simple
video walls to high performance simulation applications up accommodating
geometry correction up to WQXGA resolution on each channel. ISE:
booth 1I31 More: http://www.projectiondesign.com 4) Kindermann: New design trends at the ISE
Kindermann,
the innovative manufacturer and distributor of products for presentation,
installation and conferencing is well known for its high quality custom-made
solutions. The programme ranges from electrical ceiling lifts for projectors
of any size to MultiMedia socket systems and user-friendly conference
furniture with integrated technology. The high quality, function and easy
operation of the Kindermann products have always had priority. An additional
focus is now laid on design. Among them, there will be two new DLP projectors
with ultra wide angle lens: the KXD 400 C and KXD 500 SC. They are not only
characterized by their modern design, but also set new standards in terms of
user-friendliness and picture quality. They are equipped with the latest
image processors DDP2230 with 6-segment DLP colour wheel; they have XGA
resolution and a light output between 2000 and 3000 ANSI lumens. Both
projectors are ideal in combination with interactive boards. One of the
highlights will be the new modular presentation platform for the stationary
and mobile use of flatscreen displays as well as interactive whiteboards with
projectors. The complete system can be easily transported, even through
standard-sized doors. It will also imply a motorized height adjustment. ISE: booth 5N99 More: http://www.kindermann.com |

More: http://www.da-lite.com 6) Mitsubishi Electric: Interactive display wall at ISE 2010
Mitsubishi
Electric will demonstrate a revolutionary new multi-touch (MT) interface for
its Seventy Series DLP cubes at ISE 2010. The new interface transforms a
standard multi-window display wall into a stunning interactive workspace that
can be used by several users simultaneously. The multi-touch technology,
developed jointly in Sweden by Mitsubishi Electric and i3 Sense, uses laser
sensors instead of the more usual infra-red (IR) detectors or capacitive
touch overlays. As well as offering greater accuracy and responsiveness, the
new system is much less susceptible to interference from sources of IR
radiation such as sunlight. The technology makes it possible to create
reliable multi-touch, multi-user interfaces in normally-lit environments such
as control rooms, shop windows or other public areas. ISE: booth 2A24, 2A25, 2A36 More: http://www.mitsubishielectric.eu 7)

Up-market
bowling venues Lucky Strike Lanes have added BrightSign media players to
deliver high quality video artwork complementing their trademark cocktails,
private lanes and sophisticated menu. BrightSign Network Management enables
art displays and promotional messages to be coordinated across North America.
Lucky Strike wanted to display static and video artwork in a new way; and
update it regularly to keep the venue fresh and appealing. The goal was for
each artist’s work to be shown in the highest quality resolution for
8-12minutes per day, seven days a week in Lucky Strike locations. Effective
management of the visual projection and playback, its timing and scheduling,
was also a key requirement. Digital signage integrator ITMIS was enlisted to
design and implement Lucky Strike’s vision. The company selected BrightSign
media players to deliver content in four prominent Lucky Strike locations:
Kansas City, MO, Los Angeles, CA, Bellevue, WA and Hoboken, NJ. There are
four BrightSign units in each of the four locations and each location
supports two 20 x 12-foot HD projection screens delivering artwork directly
to the bowling lanes, a 20 x 12-foot 3D HD projection screen delivering the
highest-quality video art to a luxury private bowling room and a fourth
50-inch plasma display playing promotional infotainment in the entrance
lobby. These digital signs are designated as ART1, ART2, LUXE and ICON,
respectively. In addition, the four BrightSign units are connected to an AMX
distribution system which allows Lucky Strike to selectively distribute the
artwork to all the televisions in the lounge/bar areas via strategically
located touch panels. ISE: booth 12F84 More: http://www.brightsign.biz 17) Adtec: signEdje Hardware with GPS and Instore Broadcast Software
Instore
