EIKI’s new office models
EIKI
recently introduced two new office line models, the EIKI LC-XA20 and the EIKI
LC-XB24. The LC-XA20 is an extremely silent projector running with just 25 dBA in ECO mode. It comes with a brightness of 2,000 ANSI
lumens and a contrast ratio of 400:1. The ultra-portable projector is
designed for business- and education applications and is thus an ideal
partner for presentations in the office, in lecture halls or just anywhere on
the road. The projector has a blackboard mode (dark green) which is
particularly designed for the education sector enabling projections onto
common blackboards in classrooms. The EIKI LC-XB24 has a brightness of 2,500
ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 450:1. Also it is an ultra-portable LCD
projector – a lightweight device featuring nearly 2.4 kg and not larger than
a DIN-A4 piece of paper. When designing the LC-XB24, integrating
user-friendly functions were at the focus of the product developers.
Automated signal detection, a function to automatically detect incoming
signals, makes set-up easier. More: http://www.eiki.de |

Sharp: full HD projector with greater capability for large screen
pictures
Sharp
recently presented the XV-Z21000, the company’s new digital flagship projector.
The high-end full HD DLP projector offers a resolution of 1,920x1,080 pixels and a contrast ratio of 12,000:1. The new
XV-Z21000 is the first full HD DLP projector that Sharp introduced to the
German market. The XV-Z21000 is equipped for a fully digital transmission of
video data featuring an HDMI interface as well as HDCP support. The specially
designed RGB-only primary colour wheel for home theatre achieves high-quality
colour reproduction and high contrast ratio. And the colour wheel capable of
x5 speed by rotating the colour wheel with 7-segment colour at x2.5 speed
renders colour breaking imperceptible to the human eye. More: http://www.sharp.de/projektoren 6)
SIM2: D80 as an addition to the 1080p chip DLP® projection line
SIM2
Multimedia recently announced a new addition to its Domino projector line:
the D80 projector based on Texas Instruments’ 0.95” 1080p DLP® chipset for a
true, uncompressed 1920x1080 HDTV resolution. The D80 joins its illustrious
award-winning predecessor - the Grand Cinema HT3000 – in the 0.95” 1080p DLP®
chipset resolution family line. This new chipset combined with full 10 bit
video processing, SIM2’s ALPHA PATH™ light engine, 7-segment colour wheel and
software, give the D80 projector a true contrast ratio of >4000:1,
resulting in a new level of cinematic realism in single chip projection.
On-board video processing prevents the introduction of motion artefacts and
jagged edges. Also, the D80 features a wide selection of inputs - including
HDMI™ - and is compatible with all video and graphic standards. Easily
upgradeable, the RS232 allows enthusiasts to easily download the latest
control software. The D80 can represent the following formats: 16:9, 4:3
letter box format as well as three user-defined formats. Two 12 trigger
inputs and a RS232 input make integration of complete in-house media control
systems easy enabling control over electronic screens and other supporting
elements. More: http://www.sim2.com 7)

Da-Lite Introduces Fast-Fold® Masking
Panels
More: http://www.da-lite.com 10) Media Vision: Magic Window Touch
System 7001
MediaVision presents an entirely new technology that allows a touch screen
function at shop windows (up to 16 mm thickness and without an air gap
between the window panes) thanks to an extra thin foil and an appropriate
converter system. The touch foils are available in any format up to a size of
100“, 2.5 m diagonal. MediaVision puts the foil
onto the MagicDaylight rear projection panel. Even
projection of large graphics onto other surface materials such as wood or
plastic (no monitor) is possible. MediaVision is
currently looking for specialized Trade partners. More: http://www.media-vision.de 11) G+B pronova:
HoloPro is lighting up the dark season
While the
days are drawing in and the autumn leaves are falling, G+B pronova GmbH has some news to lighten everyone up. The
summer months were used to modify the HoloPro™
production plants to meet increased demands. Production times will be
dramatically reduced thanks to improved laser technology and at the same time
the quality of illumination has been still further increased. The latest
version, HoloPro™ 3, has been improved in many
aspects: in particular, the size of the HOE has been reduced considerably (3
mm as opposed to 10 mm previously) and their number dramatically increased.
This leads to increased brilliance and a considerably more homogenous
picture. This new HoloPro™ 3 quality is available
immediately for all formats from 50.8 cm/20” (diagonal) to 254 cm (100"
or 200 cm x 150 cm). The maximum screen size for 16:9 is 325.12 cm
(128"). In addition, there are attractive package prices for the popular
50" HoloPro™ Amiran. More: http://www.holopro.com 12) MediaScreen GmbH presents WTH65 INTERACTIVE
The MediaScreen WTH 65 INTERACTIVE is an innovative and
mobile rear projection system featuring a 160 cm (65”) screen diagonal and a minimum
depth of only 55 cm (22”). The system is based on the previously introduced MediaScreen WTH65 which has been enhanced by an
interactive control feature. Interactive control is enabled by a novel,
high-precision foil-based motion detector via PC interface. An optionally
available thief-proofed, rolling pedestal that can be locked can hold
laptops, DVD or CD media players. The WTH65 INTERACTIVE is very versatile and
can be used for presentations at trade shows and events. It is also suitable
for POS installations and TV studio applications. More: http://www.mediascreen.de 13) NEC Display Solutions: NEC MultiSync® LCD5710 available
The new
NEC MultiSync® LCD5710 complements NEC Display
Solutions range of large format displays and will be available from November
2006. The NEC MultiSync® LCD5710 is designed for a
wide variety of digital signage and public display applications but will also
appeal to the high end AV market with Full High Definition (1080p) capability
and HDCP (High Definition Content Protection) support. The NEC MultiSync® LCD5710 can display a 1920 x 1080 (WUXGA)
computer generated image or the equivalent 1080p video resolution allowing
outstanding reproduction in perfect HDTV quality. An extremely high viewing
angle of 178 degrees, 450 cdm² brightness, and a
contrast ratio of 900:1, ensures perfect picture quality from almost every
angle. The benefits of excellent image quality, high brightness and contrast,
fast response time, and features such as NEC’s TileMatrix
function, allowing a matrix of up to 5 x 5 displays to be easily set-up; and CableComp function allowing cable lengths of up 100
metres to be used; make the NEC Display Solutions range of large format
displays an ideal choice for users and system integrators. More: http://www.nec-display-solutions.com 14) ict: electronic info and advertising system at
