1)      SYSTEMS: Exhibitors and visitors extremely satisfied

SYSTEMS 2005 closed its gates on a positive note. The outstanding highlights at this business-to-business exhibition for IT, media and communications include its strong orientation to SMEs, a range of information that sets new standards with regard to both quality and quantity, the record number of exhibitors in the sector for IT security, the increased number of exhibitors from Central and Eastern Europe and the larger exhibition sector for document management and satellite navigation. With a total of 1,260 exhibitors, SYSTEMS grew slightly for the first time since the year 2000 (2004: 1,229 according to FKM). Based on initial estimates, more than 60,000 visitors will have attended this year's SYSTEMS, which is at the same level as last year. Klaus Dittrich, Managing Director of Munich International Trade Fairs, takes stock: "We are completely satisfied with SYSTEMS 2005. Our exhibitors are reporting concrete sales transactions, some with high volume, and qualified contacts with potential buyers. The atmosphere in the exhibition halls has been marked by optimism, and the topic of small and medium-sized enterprises was clearly perceived and positively honored by exhibitors and visitors alike." According to the head of SYSTEMS, the fair has succeeded in positioning itself as an exhibition for SMEs, and its new profile has had the desired effect. "Our more than 60 partners are very pleased with the way that SYSTEMS is presenting itself and is evolving as a platform for SMEs," emphasizes Markus Käser, Project Director of the "MODEL COMPANY" consulting initiative.

2)      Epson: competence with EMP-X3 and EMP-82

The two new Epson multimedia desktop projectors EMP-X3 and EMP-82 are ideal partners for education, seminars and trainings. They are easy to set up and turn off. And they are easy to operate. These new projectors bring life and lucidity into any classroom and meeting. Their light weight (approx. 2,7 kg) is a clear advantage and makes them the ideal partner on the road. Whether they are moved from classroom to classroom or taken from customer to customer – both projectors are very flexible and perfectly equipped for all kinds of applications. However, they can also be permanently installed in seminar rooms or classrooms. Supported by Epson’s innovative E-Torl lamp technology, 2000 ANSI lumens ensure that viewers can see a bright picture. The native XGA resolution is 1024 x 768 pixels. The well-proven 3LCD Advanced Imaging technology stands for excellent Epson image quality. Both projectors run 30 dB in whisper mode.

3)      ViewSonic: new PJ256D DLP projector

ViewSonic presents the PJ256D, a 0.99 kilo light DLP projector that has been designed especially for the demands of mobile professionals. It is ViewSonic’s first micro-portable projector featuring a brightness of 1,500 lumens. The easy to operate device has high compatibility and offers excellent image quality. Thanks to its light weight and its very small dimensions, it can be transported easily. Connections include PC and DVD player inputs. The projector can be used for both business presentations and exciting movie presentations in the living room. Set up is done quickly and easily, the input signal is synchronized automatically – ideal for mobile professionals with little ambition for technology. The model featuring a native resolution of 1024 x 768 and a contrast ratio of 2000:1 will convince viewers with its pin sharp images in lively colours. Thanks to motion adaptive, progressive scan and 3:2 pull down, this model shows movies without disturbing artefacts. In order to draw the viewers’ attention to the most important aspects, the remote control consists of an integrated mouse function and a laser pointer. Thanks to optical zoom the representation surface can be changed in the twinkling of an eye. If the device is operated in whisper mode, the fan noise is reduced and the lamp life span is enhanced up to 4000 hours.

4)      Canon: LV-X5 for the education sector

The LV-X5 is a multimedia projector that is specifically designed for the education sector. The operation noise level featuring approximately 28 dB (A) in the silent mode is extremely low. This device offers convenient mobility, thanks to its little 3.2 kilos weight. The wall colour correction allows for optimized representation, even on a blackboard. 1500 ANSI lumens stand for bright and detailed projections. The lamp’s operation length is especially economical – it lasts up to 4,000 hours in the silent mode. The LV-X5 consists of automatic keystone correction and achieves native XGA resolution (1024 x 768 pixels), which through compression can be boosted up to 1600 x 1200 pixels (UXGA-quality).

Designed for mobile applications, the small and lightweight projectors can be easily used in various presentation environments. It makes no difference whether they are used in large classrooms, small conference rooms or the living room. Operation is really easy, and tedious instructions are therefore not necessary. Both devices complete the technical presentation set up entirely autonomous – just switch it on.
