Dear Newsletter Readers,

To the Table of Contents

In this issue of www.AVP-Newsletter.com you will find latest news from the data-and videoprojection/ -presentation. Several autumn news are presented, and this time we write about several system integrators and their portfolio. And there is SYSTEMS which due to recession has experienced a loss in exhibitors. Amongst them also exhibitors from the AV-branch: only four AV-companies will be exhibiting on Systems this year.

1) Systems (20.-24.10.03): Less exhibitors on this year’s b2b trade show

The 22. international trade fair for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media is not spared by the tense economy. Insolvencies and mergings have led to declining exhibitor figures. The aspired number of exhibitors, 1.300 companies, cannot be reached this year. Klaus Dittrich, chairman of SYSTEMS: "We expect around 1.150 exhibitors which is a fourth less than in 2002."

"The branch keeps behind the financial expectations and business activities are recovering slowlier than expected", explains Dittrich. "However, the latest opinion poll by BITKOM shows a gradual improvement of the investment climate. For the upcoming SYSTEMS we expect first impulses with regards to the slight growth which has been forecasted for 2004.”

This year’s SYSTEMS will be a contact and communications platform for key players in the branch. There are several companies exhibiting on Systems for the first time, but there are also long term exhibitors who are not participating on this year’s trade fair. The organizer now fears decreasing number of visitors for this year’s Systems that will be hosted together with Internet World for the first time. Next year SYSTEMS will be changed entirely and will instead be integrated into the Muenchener Medientage.

SYSTEMS 2003 will take place from October 20 until October 24 in the Neuen Messe Munich. Exhibitors from the AV-branch will be in halls B1 and B3.

Enjoy reading and see you next month
