SANYO: PLV-Z5 home cinema projector
Right in
time for the IFA, SANYO presented its new PLV-Z5 home cinema projector.
Compared to the preceding model, the PLV-Z4, the developers especially
optimized contrast and brightness. „We had the home cinema fans in mind when
developing this new model,“ says Erik Jäger, home cinema specialist at SANYO. The projector
features a second HDMI input allowing a more flexible use. A simultaneous
input of both HDTV-receiver and DVD-recorder is no longer a problem. The
optic that was used in the PLV-Z4 also found its way into the new model. The
wide angle lens featuring a projection ratio of 1.36 – 2.77
: 1 as well as comfortable lens shift allow for projecting pin-sharp,
undistorted images from almost every angle. More: http://www.sanyo.de |

Mitsubishi will bring additional three DLP-projectors to market. The new HC5000,
however, features a projection system with three 0.74“ LCD
panels. For the first time ever, Epson’s novel Dream 6 LCD panel is being
used here. Featuring a full HD-resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a 10.000:1
contrast ratio, an operating noise level of just 19 dB and a lamp life-span
of 5000 hours, the HC5000 is setting the benchmark in the home cinema
projector class. Moreover, Mitsubishi uses high-quality HQV-technology
(Hollywood Quality Video) from Silicon Optix for the
first time. More: http://www.Mitsubishi-evs.de 4)

Sony: ultra-portable business
projectors
Professional
Solutions of Sony is going to introduce the VPL-CX21 and VPL-CS21 lightweight
projectors, designed for mobile users in business or school environments. The
footprint of these models is smaller than an A4-sized sheet of paper. At a
height of just 52mm and weighing only 1.9kg, these projectors are easy to carry
and perfect for people on the move. Off & Go enables the user to unplug
the projector immediately after use as the fan will continue to cool the unit
after the power supply has been removed. Despite their small size, both
projectors deliver outstanding image quality. The VPL-CX21 has XGA native
resolution (1024 x 768 x 3 pixels) and the VPL-CS21 has SVGA native
resolution (800 x 600 x 3 pixels). Both have a brightness level of 2100 ANSI
lumens and are based on 3LCD technology, which uses three LCD panels
(separate panels for red, green and blue) to deliver bright, natural images
and superb colours. More: http://www.sonybiz.net 6)

Geha projects large images with the
compact 238 W
The new Geha beamer compact 238 W is extraordinarily equipped and
offers great flexibility. The projector is ideal for presentations in small
rooms. Due to a new wired angle lens the device projects large images at a
short projection distance. A wall in the size of 200 x 153 cm can be fully
projected at a distance of approx. 3 meters.
Thanks to a brightness of 2200 ANSI lumens, a resolution of 1024 x 768
pixels and a contrast ratio of 500:1, the compact 238 W will make any
presentation perfect. The lamp life span can last up to 3000 hours when being
used in Eco-mode. An integrated light sensor not only adjusts brightness
automatically but also adjusts the image contrast to the specific lightning
conditions in the room. In result, preparing a presentation is done in “no
time”. A fan noise of 33 dB makes any presentation a pleasant experience. More: http://www.geha.de 10) Optoma launched its first true WXGA
