2)      Mitsubishi highlights at IFA

Mitsubishi Electric Europe EVS presents a variety of new technological product developments at the IFA 2005 in Berlin. The electronics manufacturer introduces two new projectors in its home cinema range. The HC3000 takes the stage as the new 720p premium model among digital home cinema projectors. The DLP projector with a 0.65" DMD chip and 6-segment colour wheel shines with colour contrasts of 4,000:1. It comes with a WXGA resolution featuring 1,280 x 768 pixels. With 1,024 x 576 pixel resolution, 1,000 ANSI lumens brightness and whisper-quiet operating noise of 26 dBA, the new HC910 guarantees perfect movie viewing pleasure in the comfort of home. It was already in the spotlight at this year’s InfoComm: the PT10, the first PocketProjector from Mitsubishi Electric. No larger than a hand, 450 grams light and equipped with state-of-the-art LED/DLP technology, it is one of the world’s smallest and most energy-efficient projectors. The PocketProjector features a DLP chip from Texas Instruments, for a native resolution of 800 x 600 pixels (SVGA). The PocketProjector is connectable to notebooks, portable DVD players and more. The date for its German market launch has not been fixed yet. Another IFA highlight: new display solutions from Mitsubishi Electric, designed for presentation and information applications in public areas. The company, based in Ratingen, Germany, has just expanded its product range to include three top quality 32”, 40” and 46” TFT/LCD public display screens with WXGA resolution (1,366 x 768 pixels).

3)      Optoma: The new DLP data projector EP719

Optoma has announced the launch of the EP719 DLP™ data projector, featuring high brightness – 2000 Lumens, amazing contrast – 2500:1, whisper quiet cooling – 28 dB, twin VGA inputs and password security. Optoma pioneered the dual use of VGA inputs for both PC and SCART. This opened up the possibility of direct RGB connections from the SCART source to the projector by means of SCART/VGA adapter and readily available VGA cabling. The new EP719 has dual VGA inputs thus allowing simultaneous connection of 2 PCs or a PC and a SCART providing optimum quality for both inputs. With the Optoma EP719 you can avoid those awkward gaps between presentations by connecting the next source, while the current presentation is still running. No cable swapping or re-configuration is required. Either source can be directly selected from the remote control allowing you to stay in charge of your multi-media presentation. The high brightness of 2000 Lumens, amazing contrast of 2500:1 and XGA resolution, ensure stunning image quality. The EP719 comes with a soft case and is easily portable; weighing only 2kg.
