3) Casio: Super Slim XJ-S35 and XJ-S30 Projectors
CASIO has
revolutionized the projector market by developing the new super slim XJ-S30
and XJ-S35 models (with USB ports). The data projectors are extremely small,
ultra flexible and unbelievably chic. The projectors will be available as of
the third quarter in 2006. By minimizing various components as the
projector’s lens and the light source, the new super slim projectors impress
with a considerably slimmer thickness of a mere 43 mm. The high-end XJ-S35
model has its own USB port. This means that users are always ready for
action, because they don't need a computer to present PowerPoint
presentations or other presentations. Moreover, the 2x motorized wide-angle
zoom provides a unique degree of flexibility: A projection distance starting
at 1.7 m (max. 3.40 m) is adequate to project data clearly and legibly with
an image diagonal of 1.52 m. An amazing light intensity of 2,000 ANSI lumens
means that it offers an extraordinary degree of brilliance and sharpness,
even in daylight conditions. More: http://www.casio-projectors.com |

4) NEC: LT35 projector triumphs in the 'Ease of Use' category
A triumph
for NEC's LT35 projector at the Plus X Awards ceremony in Düsseldorf. Despite
the tough competition, the projector came out top in the 'Ease of Use' award
category. The Plus X Awards were presented for the third time this year in
recognition of outstanding technological products to companies in the sectors
of entertainment electronics, telecommunications, IT and household
appliances. This is the second time that an NEC projector has received an
award. This year, it went to NEC's LT35 in the awards category of 'Ease of
Use' for the projector's fast auto focus function. Thanks to auto focus, the
LT35 projector is operational in a matter of seconds because there is no need
to manually adjust the focus. Another of this projector's outstanding
features is automatic keystone correction to prevent trapezoidal distortion
so that square images are projected. The fan only runs for 15 seconds after
the LT35 is switched off, rounding off the range of convenient automatic
functions incorporated in this projector. More: http://www.de.nec.de/home.php/lang/ENG 5) Kindermann Meets Canon
Kindermann enhanced its product portfolio by Canon’s XEED series projectors.
Canon’s XEED projectors featuring LCOS technology stand for outstanding
quality in compact design. Kindermann offers
beamers that, due to their state-of-the-art technology, provide pin-sharp
images. The useable pixel area is much bigger with LCOS technology than with
other technologies. Hence, image quality can be improved considerably. Canon
projectors are not only suitable for presenting high-resolution photos. They
are also ideal for the presentation of natural screen changes and moving
images without any distortions, thanks to the panel’s extraordinary quick
reaction time. Kindermann naturally provides
competent advice and excellent service. More: http://www.kindermann.de 6) Philips has developed the Ujoy
Royal
Philips Electronics has announced the development of Philips Ujoy, an innovative lighting system for the Digital
Projection market. The ultra small Ujoy lamp,
coupled with the compact nature of DLP picture technology from Texas
Instruments, powers ultra-compact projectors with stylish designs, which will
accelerate an emerging segment within the Digital Projection market –
Personal Projection. Expectations are that the introduction of Ujoy lighting system will enable development on the
Personal Projection market, specifically in application areas of video
gaming, photo projection, home entertainment (DVD/TV/sports watching) and
laptop use for travelers. For example, gamers will
enjoy an intensified gaming experience on a big screen, with the freedom to
use the projector wherever they want. Market research among consumers
confirms that there is clearly a need for a better affordable, smaller screen
size projector for inhome use. Ujoy
is a very compact, low-power light source based on the well-known Philips
innovative UHP technology. More: http://www.uhp.philips.com 7) Da-Lite Expands Connectivity Panels to Lectern Line

employments. The third new product is an accessory for Residential
applications, a new radio frequency Remote Control provided, as standard,
also with a 12 volts trigger which allows to connect,
alternatively, the screen to the projector's 12 volt output. More: http://www.adeoscreens.com 9)

currently involved in various projects with different customers. They are
working on a possibility to vertically adjust flat screens including pivoting
and tilting. At the same time, UNICOL is aiming at a system that consists of
complete cable management and can be used with existing rack systems. UNICOL

Extron
Electronics has recently introduced the FOX 500 Tx/Rx
Fiber Optic Extender, a transmitter and receiver
set for long haul transmission of high resolution RGB, audio and RS-232
control signals over a single fibre. The FOX 500 Tx/Rx
digitizes RGB signals and then sends them uncompressed for perfect
pixel-by-pixel transmission of high resolution signals up to UXGA (1,600x1,200) resolution. Designed specifically for A/V systems,
the FOX 500 Tx/Rx includes a host of
integrator-friendly features such as dual RGB and audio outputs, RS-232
control from either location, and real-time system
monitoring for verification of fibre link and input signal presence. Two
models are available, one which supports multimode fibre at 850 nm for
short-range applications up to 150 meters (450 feet) within buildings and
facilities, and the other for single mode as well as multimode fibre at 1310
nm to support very long-range transmissions up to 30 km (18.75 miles). More: http://www.extron.com 18) Minicom: Gas Stations pump up POS marketing using CAT5
European
gas stations are introducing the excellent video distribution quality of the
CAT5 Video Display System (VDS) from Minicom to
distribute advertisements on at-the-pump digital displays. These companies
have become fully aware of the competitive benefits of Point-of-Sale
marketing: greater interaction with customers, helps build revenues, and
develops loyalty. Their secret for a successful implementation rests on
building a flexible distribution network and using sources that can be
trusted. Minicom’s Video Display System is a
hardware system that converts Audio/Video signals and distributes them over
CAT5 cable. It transmits rich multimedia content from a single player or
computer of any kind to multiple displays. While the computer is kept out of
public view (inside the kiosk), at the fuel pumps, the displays show high
resolution contents in real-time. CAT5 cable is thin, flexible, easy to
install and supports long distances. More: http://www.minicom.com 19) VIVATEQ: Control Systems and More
