3)      projectiondesign:  3-chip DLP Projector at InfoComm 07

Image quality, ruggedness, networkability, and flexibility are among the themes for Norwegian manufacturer projectiondesign at InfoComm. The company is previewing its first 3-chip DLP 1080p HD projector, model F80 1080 as well as giving a debut to the Action! M25 – a new, compact 1080p DLP projector based on the F1+ platform and targeted at the home theatre market. Also featured on the booth are the company’s F20 and F30 projectors, which offer both Texas Instruments® BrilliantColor technology and projectiondesign’s own proprietary RealColor colour management suite. Elsewhere, the Action! Model three 1080 projector is being demonstrated with an anamorphic lens attachment to show true 2.35:1 widescreen imaging. A large number of the projectors on show will be networked together using projcetiondesign’s own ProNet asset management solution, and a separate area of the booth is being used to demonstrate how this software can be deployed to manage multiple projectors across a single site, or even multiple sites, over TCP/IP. 4)      Mitsubishi: DLP Overhead Projector XD470U

Mitsubishi Electric has brought a mobile DLP overhead projector for presentations onto the market; the XD470U. The most notable feature of the projector is the high 3,000 ANSI lumen brightness. Its dimensions make the XD470U extremely space-saving and allow it to be set up perfectly even in small rooms. The basis for the projection is the 0.55 inch DLP chip. Used in conjunction with the DarkChip2 from Texas Instruments with DDP2000 signal processing, it makes a rich and differentiated black possible.

7)      Further OSRAM VIP lamps in the Feldmann range

The Feldmann Speziallampen-Vertriebs GmbH is further extending the Osram VIP spare lamp stores. The trend for naked projector lamps is going on. This concerns original OSRAM items which are installed in various projectors and rear projection TVs. If you provide the exact device and lamp specifications the Feldmann team will be able to help. Even though installing the new lamps in the particular modules can usually be done quite easily, the company is offering a new additional service:  the new lamps will be installed by experts and the old lamps correctly disposed of.

8)      Da-Lite Introduces New 16:10 Wide Format Screens

Da-Lite Screen Company, Inc. has announced the introduction of a brand new projection screen format, 16:10 Wide Format. In response to the introduction of Wide Format PC’s and laptops that are now on the market, this new 16:10 format is rapidly becoming the standard for the computer industry. For this reason, many leading projector manufacturers are developing and introducing projector models with a resolution of 1280x800, which is in the new 16:10 Wide Format. 9)      dnp: Supernova Infinity at InfoComm

Supernova Infinity is a modular screen system designed to create “Videowall” style front-projection screens of almost any size and aspect ratio, ideal for commercial projection applications. Supernova Screens are based on a revolutionary high-contrast filter that allows the projected image to be reflected from the screen, while effectively absorbing incident light from other angles. As a result, the screen is virtually unaffected by ambient light. Among the finest screens in the market, the dnp Supernova Infinity Screen material has recently been certified by the Imaging Science Foundation™ (ISF) for its outstanding image quality. This means the product exceeds the high-standard benchmarks that define the best video performance available. With a half-gain of over 80 degrees, Supernova Infinity provides full 180 degrees of horizontal viewing. Supernova Infinity combines neutral color reproduction and uniform image quality with extremely high contrast ratios and superior black levels. During InfoComm 2007, Supernova Infinity will be demonstrated at dnp booth # 4836.
