1)      InfoComm 08 – The Place for Digital Signage

Enterprise buyers and technology managers from top companies and government and educational institutions around the world will be attending InfoComm 08, the world’s largest professional audiovisual tradeshow, June 14-20 in Las Vegas, Nevada. With nearly half of all corporate AV budgets being spent on digital signage and videoconferencing, InfoComm allows attendees to see the largest integrated display of these technologies, plus access to invaluable classes and manufacturers training. Digital signage has grown explosively over the past few years, with industry experts estimating a growth rate of 10 percent per month. “With more than one million digital signs expected to be found in North America by 2009, the financial services, government, education, retail, healthcare and transportation sectors are implementing digital signage to deliver information, live and on-demand video and more to key audiences,“ said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director, InfoComm International. “InfoComm 08 is the ideal place to see digital signage solutions, take classes from industry experts and receive hands-on manufacturers training.” InfoComm's Digital Signage Pavilion, sponsored by titanium sponsor: Sony, gold sponsors: Peerless Mounts and Wireless Ronin and silver sponsor: BroadSign, provides technology managers and integrators of digital signage technology an opportunity to see top companies presenting the latest in this rapidly expanding field. In addition to InfoComm’s Digital Signage Pavilion, InfoComm 08 offers the industry’s most comprehensive exhibition of displays, mounts, interfaces and distribution, audio and control systems from all of the top brands one would need to install complete digital signage systems.

5)      Barco: Ten megapixel single-projector display system

Barco announces the launch of its XDC-3000, a 10 megapixel, single-projector display system. Through its unique Windows desktop integration and user-friendly multi-windowing software, the XDC-3000 increases the efficiency of decision-making in high-end meeting rooms and boardrooms. Thanks to the XDS Control Center software suite, Barco’s XDC-3000 offers mouse and keyboard control of up to ten sources simultaneously. Users can quickly select local or networked sources, while each source is displayed in native resolution on the XDC’s 10 megapixel canvas. Barco’s software suite also lets users freely move, resize or make source windows overlap anywhere on the screen. The combination of networking capabilities and extremely high resolution renders the XDC-3000 excellent for life-size videoconferencing with remote teams. As videoconferencing is rapidly becoming a greener alternative to constant traveling, Barco’s XDC offers the necessary tools for user-friendly collaboration with remote teams through its innovative software. Barco’s XDC-3000 bundles Barco’s LX-5 10 megapixel projector, which boasts next-generation LCoS technology, and a Barco-engineered superflat high-contrast screen. The Windows desktop and source multi-windowing are generated by the award-winning XDS-1000 display management system and its innovative XDS Control Center software suite. The system is supported by space-efficient rear-projection mechanics to ensure quick installation. InfoComm: booth C2830

6)      Da-Lite: 3D Virtual Black rear screen projection Fabric

Da-Lite Screen Company revolutionizes 3D projection with the introduction of its new 3D Virtual Black projection screen material designed exclusively for 3D rear screen applications. Specifically designed and dedicated as the first rear screen 3D projection fabric in the industry, 3D Virtual Black features breakthrough polarization preserving properties engineered by Da-Lite Screen Company’s research chemists. 7)      Beamax: From Living Room to Home Theatre in less than 30 seconds

With so many High Definition games and movies available, there has never been a better time for a large screen in the living room. Yet, a living room that's dominated by devices does not appeal to many families. With the Beamax In-ceiling projection screens it's now possible to enjoy high definition home cinema without the drawbacks. An in-ceiling motorised projection screen is installed in the false ceiling and rolls down at the press of a button; turning a living room into a true home theatre in less than 30 seconds. Available immediately through the Beamax reseller network, the In-ceiling range comes in sizes up to 300 cm (118 inches) wide, is the equivalent of 9 TVs with a 42" diagonal. The Beamax In-ceiling series are operated by a tubular motor with thermal protection, shutting the screen off automatically when the motor becomes too hot. This feature protects the motor and increases safety as well as the life of the screen. The motor can be controlled by infrared and radio frequency remotes, as well as a 12V trigger that lowers the projection screen automatically when the projector is switched on.

8)      G+B pronova: Holopro auf der Light+Building

Welcome to the HoloPro Lounge! This was this year's slogan above the G+B pronova Light+Building fair stand. Thanks to the video visuals by Nicolai Konstantinovic and Katrin Koeppl from Cologne, many visitors were able to experience HoloPro in a brand new way and in many conversations G+B pronova was inspired for new projects. HoloPro without visible structures is more suitable than ever for becoming an integral part of media room concepts. Another highlight was the world premiere of a new HoloPro system: A curved glass screen with a 30" HoloPro-4 attracted all the attention. The system contains all the components in its foot and can be set up and moved easily. Its elegant, modest shape makes this latest HoloPro deviate ideal for showrooms, receptions or modern fair stands.
