SHOWTECH, the international specialist exhibition and congress for event technology, events and services is heading for a new record number of exhibitors in 2007. The key players in the branch from the stage and lighting technology sectors have already registered.  Along with Gerriets, Waagner Biro, Bosch Rexroth and SBS, ARRI, Martin Professional, ETC and Lightpower will also be making their presence felt at SHOWTECH. From the audio sector Meyer Sound and Pioneer have already said they are coming. From 19th to 21st June SHOWTECH will be expecting around 350 exhibiters from 25 nations at the Berlin exhibition centre. Above all the European stage technology exhibition attracts the professionals from the branch to the capital. Around 97% of the 6,868 visitors from 42 nations who travelled to the last exhibition were experts and professional clients from the theatre, film, television, shows and event industries. The DTHG will once again organise the accompanying congress this year. In additional forums, workshops and lectures crammed with top-class people, new perspectives in event technology and international theatre management will be presented and discussed.

Christie has extended its popular product range with the new DLP Cinema® projector CP2000-ZX. All the control elements are located at the back and as a result make installation a problem-free procedure. The projector is equipped with a CDXL standard lamp or with Christie’s new high performance CDXL SD.  The necessary know-how for lamp changing and the total operating costs are comparable to the 35mm systems. The brightness can be adjusted from values of 9,000 to 17,000 lumens for projection screens with a width of up to 14 metres. And with the famous CP 2000 Christie’s CP2000-ZX can access the same support for digital cinema and alternative applications.  The device supports the processing of HDCP coded signals via its DVI inputs and diverse integrated interface cards. All the control elements can be accessed from a compact local operating field, the control display panel (CDP™) or via any web browser on a networked computer.
