CeBIT: A tradeshow powered by ideas and solutions
CeBIT
remains the biggest showcase for the ICT industry worldwide. From 15 to 21 March 2007 some
6,059 companies will be in Hannover to
present the latest digital solutions to users from across the globe. This
figure matches the turnout for CeBIT last year. Ernst Raue, Deutsche Messe
board member responsible for CeBIT, reports: 'There has been a marked
increase in the number of exhibitors from the Asia-Pacific region, Eastern
Europe, Latin America, as
well as from new, upcoming markets. The figures illustrate the importance
attached to CeBIT among all those for whom digital solutions and applications
are inseparable from their work and daily lives.' Product innovations will
feature heavily in all the six thematic presentations: 'Business Processes',
'Communications', 'Digital Equipment & Systems', 'Banking & Finance',
'Public Sector Parc' and 'Future Parc'. Visitors will experience an
unparalleled view of new developments and applications in established
technologies, as well as insights into the major cutting-edge trends of the
future.

Kindermann: KX 2900 active
At the Kindermann stand there is
an innovation in store for the CeBIT visitors: The KX 2900 active from
Kindermann is an XGA data projector which allows direct interaction with the
presentation. It features a telescopic pointer, operated like a wireless
mouse, and with it the lecturer can present the information to the audience
directly in front of the projection area and can control the presentation
without needing cables. This is made possible by a new kind of technology
which combines an integrated VGA camera in the projector with the pointer
which is fitted with an infra-red transmitter. No special preparation for the
presentation is necessary – any screen or even a white wall can be used. The
only requirement is a USB 2.0 socket which every current PC and notebook has.

Sharp: The XG-PH70X-N – for
professional applications
DLP
technology, a brightness of 5,200 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 1,200:1
guarantee a strong picture with sharp outlines even in bright conference
rooms or work rooms. It is suitable for continuous operation and comes with
six optional lenses and an extensive range of accessories, all of which give
the XG-PH70X the flexibility you need for professional applications. Classical
areas of operation would be for example in the two-shift operation used in
flight or ship simulators or for projection in large control rooms where
projection equipment has to run round the clock. In these situations the
XG-PH70X is in it element and its especially long-life optical system reduces
the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). CeBIT: hall 1,

Toshiba PDT: The new x Series at
CeBIT
Among a
lot of new products Toshiba will show the Toshibas x Series. Its three
projectors, x2000, x2500 and x3000, are all based on Toshiba’s new LDC
technology. The x2500 and x3000 are innovative XGA devices incorporating
Toshiba’s own NCE3 (Natural Color Enhancer 3) chip that delivers
“best-in-class” image quality. With optimum security functions, ultra-simple
operation features such as Quick Start and Instant Shutdown for rapid
power-up and power-down, plus a wide array of connection options, Toshiba’s
new x Series offer everything for a perfect presentation. CeBIT: Halle

SANYO FISHER Sales (Europe) gets ready for the CeBIT 2007
As one of
the world’s strongest manufacturers of projectors, SANYO is presenting its
latest product range at the CeBIT 2007 which ranges from home cinema models
and equipment for use in schools and education centres to projectors for
professional use at events. At the stand, visitors can have a close up look
at the two versatile lightweights, PLC-XU100 and PLC-XU110. Their excellent
image brightness coupled with their extremely low weight make these
network-compatible projectors very impressive indeed and they can be used
flexibly in classrooms, seminar rooms or conference rooms also with W-LAN.
The PLC-XT20 and PLC-XT25 can also be run vertically and meet the highest
