2)      CeBIT 2007: 15 to 21 March in Hannover, Germany

CeBIT has long been and continues to be the major marketplace for the ICT industry worldwide. When it opens its doors again in Hannover from 15 to 21 March 2007, users from across the globe will flock to see the latest digital solutions. As Ernst Raue, Managing Board Member of Deutsche Messe, emphasizes, 'CeBIT mirrors the latest trends in the digital world and once a year makes Hannover the meeting-place for all those who feel at home in this digital world and who contribute to its further development'. The fact that visitors can easily find their way around, despite the large number of exhibitors, is due to the clear thematic arrangement of exhibits in six categories: 'Business Processes', 'Communications', 'Digital Equipment & Systems', 'Banking & Finance', 'Public Sector Parc' and 'Future Parc'. The highly international mix of exhibitors taking part in CeBIT is impressive. In 2007 approx. 6,000 exhibitors from 70 countries will attend. Ernst Raue admits: 'This figure is lower than in 2006, but it still exceeds our target. The emergence of strategic corporate alliances and mergers has meant that a high double-digit number of companies who used to exhibit separately a year or two ago are now staging joint displays.'

4)      ISE 2007: Attendance figure of 16,269

Records were broken in every area as Integrated Systems Europe 2007 closed after three days of huge crowds, packed conference rooms and exhibitors reporting their busiest show yet, announced the organisers of ISE 2007 at the Amsterdam RAI. The 4th edition of this show saw an unprecedented increase in numbers with over 16,000 attending. Although there was a significant swell of attendees from Europe, visitors came from all parts of the world, including China, Japan and the United States. A key aspect of the show was the positive response from the visitors and Exhibitors alike. Many of the exhibitors were firm in the opinion that they would definitely be returning for the next edition of ISE. Plans are well underway to organise the 2008 edition, which, as Mike Blackman, Managing Director ISE explains, will again be held at the Amsterdam RAI from 29-31 January. "ISE 2007 has been an outstanding success and the huge rise in visitor numbers has prompted an overwhelming response from exhibitors to rebook their booths for next year. Because of this, we have already secured an extra hall at the RAI, ensuring that ISE 2008 is set to be even bigger than this year's event. Almost without exception, everyone has commented favourably on the RAI as a venue which, due to its close proximity to Schiphol airport and major transport routes, is easy to access."

5)      Toshiba PDT: projector for educational institutions

Toshiba presents the st10, a new addition to its “Extreme Short Projection” family that is designed to function with interactive whiteboards. While the Toshiba st10 targets the educational sector, it is also ideal for business use. The revolutionary wide-angle lens enables the projector to be mounted immediately above the whiteboard, avoiding both shadows on the board and dazzling the lecturer or presenter. An anti-theft feature is the st10’s special control panel without visible power button; the projector can also be enclosed in a special security cage. The st10 is fully optimized for use with interactive whiteboards. In talks or lectures, these boards are connected to a PC and projector to form a multimedia board used with special pens. The st10 requires only a D-sub15 input for the PC and is operated using a control panel, which can also be wall-mounted. This panel is designed for complete simplicity, allowing the projector and board to be powered up or down simultaneously at the touch of a button. Not all ceilings may be the right material or height for projector mounting; the st10 can therefore be used with a flexible wall bracket, developed for use with a variety of whiteboards, permitting simple and low-cost installation. 6)      CASIO: Business Projectors for even more flexible use

The Super Slim Projectors XJ-S35 and XJ-S30 by CASIO are convincing in any business meeting. The appliances stand out due to their simple operability, high-quality CASIO technology and a streamlined and stylish design. A further highlight: from now on the projectors can be mounted on the ceiling. The extremely flat business beamers are therefore the optimal addition to conference rooms with fitted equipment. Perfect design and maximum performance: the CASIO projectors are equipped with the unique 2x optical zoom lens. This also offers a great deal of flexibility when mounted on the ceiling. In addition to being able to conduct a presentation without a PC, CASIO's typical operating comfort of the Super Slim projectors provides easy application. That way interesting meetings or heated discussions are not disturbed by technical breakdowns.
