4)      Toshiba New Exhibitor at ISE 2008

Toshiba’s Projection & Display Technology division will participate in ISE for the first time in 2008. Toshiba will show its latest products in the field of projection and display technology. The ultra-portable DLP projector p9 is a projector that proclaims “Flexibility is the key“. This bright, 1,3 kilo compact XGA projector is the perfect companion for a host of business applications. In addition to classic conference use, it’s ideal for mobile use in the field, and features a USB port enabling data to be transmitted directly to the projector. The p9 also offers natural colour and impressive brightness of 2,000 ANSI lumens, plus contrast ratio of 2,000:1. The wx2200, Toshiba’s first business projector in native 16:10 format is the ultimate in “limitless format”. With this WXGA projector, spreadsheets, sidebars and other taskbars are displayed to the maximum. An extensive array of security functions and outstanding ease of use add up to the perfect projector for all business needs. “Minimum throw distance - maximum results“ is the watchword of the ex20 and ew25, featuring wide-angle Extreme Short Throw (EST) technology. The ex20 XGA projector offers brightness of 2,300 lumens and projects images at a steep offset angle of 130 degrees; its WXGA relative ew25 features image diagonals of up to 3,05 m from a projection distance of only 1,5 m at a brightness of 2,600 lumens, and is ideal for graphic applications and spreadsheets. 5)      Sharp: PG-F320W WXGA projector

The PG-F320W represents the natural partner for the latest notebook generation, thanks to its WXGA 1,280x800 DLP chip. Featuring Brilliant Color technology by Texas Instruments, bright and precise colours as well as a stunning 16:10 format, this device will deliver outstanding presentations. 6)      Casio: Successful presentations with extra warranty

A reliable projector is one of the most important devices for a successful presentation especially in business, and as of now CASIO projectors can be relied on even longer: the warranty period for the lamps of Super Slim projectors has been quadrupled to 2,000 hours. If the 2,000 hours are not reached within one year, a warranty period of one year will apply. The warranty extension applies for lamps of the Super Slim models XJ-S30 and XJ-S35 as well as XJ-S41 and XJ-S46. The Super Slim series stands out with its exceptionally slim design and easy operability, which makes the projectors convenient to handle and quick to set up. "To be able to realise the slim design of the projectors CASIO developed the lamps especially for use in the enclosure of the Super Slim models", so Holger Witt, Junior Project Manager at CASIO Europe. For perfect presentations in bright rooms the lamps must be capable of high intensity illumination and are therefore put under a lot of stress. The models XJ-S30/35 generate a luminous flux of 2,000 ANSI lumen, while the luminous flux for the models XJ-S41/46 amounts to 2,500 ANSI lumen. By extending the warranty for the lamps CASIO underlines the service life and reliability of the Super Slim projectors. Further features of the Super Slim models are the 2x optical zoom as well as the automatic trapezoid compensation that allows the projection to be adjusted to various room conditions. Thanks to the USB interface at the XJ-S35 and XJ-S46 presentations have become even easier: presentations can be converted to the JPEG format and directly started from the USB stick without the need of a notebook. 7)      EIKI: the EIKI LC-XG400 professional projector

EIKI announced the new EIKI LC-XG400 conference projector. A true "break-out projector" the LC-XG400 is rugged, lightweight, and adaptable, with push-button lens change and vertical and horizontal power lens shift, features that, combined with a range of optional lenses, make it perfect for quick setup in temporary applications. The new projector weighs only 8.7 kg at a brightness of 5,000 lumens. It provides an XGA resolution and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1. The LC-XG400 delivers all the on-screen performance users can expect from mature 3LCD imaging technology including vibrant colour, advanced image scaling, and compatibility with analogue and digital data and video sources up to UXGA and 1080i. Thanks to a digital interface in form of a DVI input featuring an HDCP decoder, even HDCP-protected video signals can be represented. ISE: H110

8)      NEC Display Solutions: LCD projectors with W-LAN at the touch of a button

NEC Display Solutions is bringing three new NP series LCD installation projectors on to the market: the NEC NP1150, the NP2150 and the NP3150 featuring HQV technology. The highlight of the new models is their wireless LAN functionality. Thanks to this, a wireless LAN network can be set up quickly and simply between the projector and a Windows Vista-compatible signal source. A brightness range of 3,700 – 5,000 ANSI lumens, a maximum projection distance of 86 metres, an XGA resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels and a contrast of 600:1 make these projectors very flexible installation projectors. Featuring picture-in-picture function (PIP) and real time scheduler provides the user with additional feature benefits. Presenting professionally – without installing additional software or administrator rights – these new NP series NEC projectors fulfil this wish. Once connected, the Windows Network Projector application integrated into Windows Vista immediately switches the NEC NP1150/2150/3150 into presentation mode and thus makes a wireless LAN presentation without bothersome cables quick and simple to organise. An additional wireless LAN card is no longer necessary because the NEC NP series already has built-in wireless functionality via the USB interface. ISE: J119
