EIKI: the EIKI LC-XG400
professional projector
EIKI
announced the new EIKI LC-XG400 conference projector. A true "break-out
projector" the LC-XG400 is rugged, lightweight, and adaptable, with
push-button lens change and vertical and horizontal power lens shift,
features that, combined with a range of optional lenses, make it perfect for
quick setup in temporary applications. The new projector weighs only 8.7 kg
at a brightness of 5,000 lumens. It provides an XGA resolution and a contrast
ratio of 1,000:1. The LC-XG400 delivers all the on-screen performance users
can expect from mature 3LCD imaging technology including vibrant colour,
advanced image scaling, and compatibility with analogue and digital data and video
sources up to UXGA and 1080i. Thanks to a digital interface in form of a DVI
input featuring an HDCP decoder, even HDCP-protected video signals can be
represented. ISE: H110 More: http://www.eiki.de 8)
NEC Display Solutions: LCD
projectors with W-LAN at the touch of a button
NEC
Display Solutions is bringing three new NP series LCD installation projectors
on to the market: the NEC NP1150, the NP2150 and the NP3150 featuring HQV
technology. The highlight of the new models is their wireless LAN
functionality. Thanks to this, a wireless LAN network can be set up quickly
and simply between the projector and a Windows Vista-compatible signal
source. A brightness range of 3,700 – 5,000 ANSI lumens, a maximum projection
distance of 86 metres, an XGA resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels and a contrast
of 600:1 make these projectors very flexible installation projectors.
Featuring picture-in-picture function (PIP) and real time scheduler provides
the user with additional feature benefits. Presenting professionally –
without installing additional software or administrator rights – these new NP
series NEC projectors fulfil this wish. Once connected, the Windows Network
Projector application integrated into Windows Vista immediately switches the
NEC NP1150/2150/3150 into presentation mode and thus makes a wireless LAN
presentation without bothersome cables quick and simple to organise. An
additional wireless LAN card is no longer necessary because the NEC NP series
already has built-in wireless functionality via the USB interface. ISE: J119 More: http://www.nec-display-solutions.com 9)
Da-Lite Makes Silent Motor Standard on
the Tensioned Advantage Electrol®
More: http://www.da-lite.com 10) Chief: WPA Short Throw Projector
Mount debuts at ISE 2008
Chief
Manufacturing has introduced the WPA Short Throw Projector Mount which is
designed for the easy and secure installation of short throw. The WPA enables
users to extend a projector at up to 12.5” (318 mm) from a wall surface, or
alternatively the projector can be positioned close to the wall using the
home position. The mount includes integrated roll adjustments and easy
extension. Set-up is effortless using the quick projector connect and
disconnect capability eliminating the need for tools. Security hardware to
securely position the projector is also included with the WPA. In meeting
installers needs for flexible mounting solutions, Chief offers additional
accessories for short throw projectors. The CMS390 and CMS391 On-Center
Ceiling Plates allow installers to adjust the projector installation up to
24”, which is ideal for the installation of short throw projectors. Chief’s
WPA Short Throw Projector Mount is compatible with all major short throw
projectors models on the market and custom interfaces for Sanyo, More: http://www.chiefmfg.com 11) Projecta: Complete range of built-in
solutions at ISE
A key
eye-catcher at the Projecta stand will be the range
of electrical projection screens for ceiling mounting. Just like the new
Integrator Electrol and Descender
Electrol, the Advantage Deluxe Electrol
offers excellent display qualities without the need to make concessions when
it comes to the layout of the projection room. The Integrator Electrol has an unusually complete set of equipment for
this purpose, including an IR module with potential-free contacts. The range
of built-in solutions stands out thanks to their ease of installation. As a
result of a well thought-out system, in which the metal roller with screen
fabric is installed after the case, the projection screen fabric remains
undamaged during the installation of the case. The pre-assembled wiring for
the electrical installation of the Integrator Electrol
and the Descender Electrol
enables a quick connection. With the optional wall and ceiling brackets, the
total installation is completed quickly and with perfect results. One of the
main themes at the exhibition is Digital Signage. At its stand, Projecta will offer a unique look at the development of
this form of in-store communication. In fact, this development will receive a
considerable boost thanks to the Twin and Flex Digital Signage projection
films. The design options are nearly unlimited, and the films may be affixed
seamlessly to the desired surface. Both Twin and Flex Digital Signage films
are suitable for front and rear projection. Twin is designed for use with
permanent screen set-ups, Flex may be applied and
removed repeatedly, making it especially well-suited for mobile applications.
ISE: F50 More: http://www.projectascreens.com 12) SIM2: A collection of outstanding new products
Although
diminutive in size, the C3X 1080 conceals truly powerful abilities and a
great deal of technology. The projector is based on a trio of the latest DarkChip 4 1080p DLP chipsets from Texas Instruments. The
three-chip SIM2 design further exploits improved all-glass optics in SIM2’s
proprietary ALPHAPATH light engine to form a system able to deliver full-HD,
1920x1080 progressive video of stunning clarity and definition. This will be
used in tandem with a motorized ISCO Precision Optics anamorphic
video attachment. This device sits in front of the projector and reshapes the
image. So you can watch movies in true CinemaScope
(2.35:1), Widescreen (16:9) or standard TV (4:3). But as the image is
optically decompressed, rather than electronically, there is no light or
quality loss from the projector. Also on display will be the new Grand Cinema
HT3000E HOST system, a modular package that pairs the company’s renowned Full
HD DLP projector with an off-board processor via a proprietary
optical-digital High-Definition Optical Signal Transfer (H.O.S.T.) system.
This allows a consumer or installer to connect a large number of source
components to the projector, yet enables their placement to be up to a
quarter of a kilometer from the HT3000, thanks to the use of a single small
diameter fiber-optic cable. Those seeking professional solutions should check
out the PRO5000 projection system which has been designed to meet the
requirements of the E-Cinema market, offering a high quality product that
aims to support the increased interest of theatre owners to display
alternative contents. Incorporating the latest generation of 3-chip DLP®
technology SIM2's 1080p PRO5000 projection system provides images of
exceptional brightness, resolution, colour depth.
And the new SIM2 EASYCINEMA Software provides a perfect colour
calibration order to set performances at the highest possible level.
Installation flexibility is ensured with a wide range of projection lenses.
Finally, the stand will be completed by SIM2’s rear-projection display
modules, in the form of the SDV84 CU301HBD with its 84-inch diagonal screen. ISE: N34 More: http://www.sim2.it 13) Barco takes ISE visitors to the realm

delivers HDMI signals to its display through a 6-foot HDMI cable supplied by Gefen. All four receivers operate with IR remote
capability so signals are transferred back and forth from the matrix for
optimal control. Whether integrated locally or extended long distance, Gefen's 4x4 HDMI CAT-5 Matrix delivers high definition
resolutions up to 1080p with full HDCP compliance so there is no loss of
video quality on all four displays. ISE: H47 More: http://www.gefen.com 19) VizionWare: VZ-S5100 5x1 HDMI Switcher and Digital Audio Synchronizer
VizionWare, the Texas-based
signal management and signal conditioning company and creator of the award-winning
Hi-Wirez Active HDMI Cables, presents the VZ-S5100
5x1 HDMI Switcher and Digital Audio Synchronizer. The VZ-S5100’s unique
function: a generous five HDMI inputs – each of which is combined with
user-adjustable and programmable lip-sync correction that may be
independently associated with its own degree of audio delay from 0-100ms in
2ms increments. Furthermore, an HDMI switcher is the ideal place to add
lip-sync correction to an AV installation; otherwise, audio
re-synchronization must occur at each source device, or in an AV Receiver or
AV processor, which may not contain a sufficient number of HDMI inputs. Once
adjusted by the installer, audio synchronization values are set into each
port's memory in order to compensate for the amount of video processing (the
cause of audio and video being out of “sync”) required by each source. The
VZ-S5100 is designed for maximum-length cable runs on each end of the
switcher, delivering 1080p at the longest lengths possible under current
technology while maintaining the highest level of signal integrity. Its
bi-directional RS232 capability ensures that installers are able to integrate
the VZ-S5100 into whole-house, home-theater or
commercial AV set-ups. It may also be controlled via IR and its robust
industrial design featuring rack mounting capability coupled with the tactile
feel of a high-end AV component makes it right at home in the finest custom
systems. More:
